You do not need to go grocery shopping every time you are trying to cook up a specific recipe, just cook with what you have and be creative and spontaneous but to make sure your taste bug can agree.

Look for common ingredients

Coming up with an instant recipe for a dish could be really easy, if you know your basic ingredients to fit your meal, like carrot, potatoes, onions and eggs.  

These ingredients go with almost any dish disregarding the type of cuisine.
Also being on the lookout on substituting healthy veggies such as broccoli and spinach anytime you have them in the fridge.

Learn your basic kitchen skill  

When you work in the kitchen, like all others, there are some basic skills you will need to master: like peeling your vegetables, how to use kitchen tools safely. And most of all, be sure  to keep yourself safe from the heat (boiling water, oil and hot handles on the heating pots) while you are cooking to minimize the chances of getting burned. Like a warrior, cooking for meals involves defensive skills of keeping from getting hurt (from burns, cuts and etc.) while being able to shake and bake with grace around the kitchen to conquer the making of your meal while wearing an apron instead of an armor!
