Wash sink full of dishes; hand wash and disinfect with dishwasher

Dish washing and disinfecting your dishes with dishwasher,

One of the most dreaded sights in the kitchen is a sink full of dirty dishes and no one to wash it even with a dishwasher machine.

The chore is really easier than it looks, you just have to approach it with a strategy; dish washing really involves many steps, seeing the steps ahead before you start is already half the battle.

It involves pre-wash and disinfect, where hand pre wash with dish detergent and using the dishwasher with Cascade (dishwasher detergent) to disinfect.

The process only takes roughly 30 mins for a sinkful of dishes if quickly working through each steps :

At first sight, look for a pot or a pretty big bowl among those dirty dishes then use it as the container to soak a small pea size pump of hand dishwashing detergent (Palmolive), then fill it up with a water stir to get the soapy bubble going. Next use the pot with soap water to soap all the dirty dishes; make sure to clean the excess food out the dishes before soaping the dishes to ensure the pot/bowl of soap would last the whole pile without too much food particles in the soapy water. Hand wash each piece of dishes and pull the soaped dishes out of the sink and start to pile them on the side of your countertop. Once you have done soaping all the dishes (the sink should be empty by now),make sure to clear the drain plug as well as clean the sink from any dirty debris left in the sink so that wouldn’t plug up the drain again while rinsing.

Water fall: let the water fall on those dishes to save water

When the sink is cleaned up from the debris to prevent clogging on the drain, then start to put all those soaped dishes from the side piles, all back to the sink. This way when you start to rinse the dishes, one piece at a time, you will save water and time because the water would trickling down to pre-rinse the remaining pre-soaped dishes in the sink as you go. Once you have finished rinsing the first piece with your skillful rinsing routine (rinse it once or twice) then start to pile it on the side like when you were soaping.

Once you have gotten all the dishes hand rinse and pile on the side, you can start to load them in the dishwasher to disinfect (All the soaping and rinsing is already pre-done at this point) with the dishwasher. When you loaded all the dishes inside the washer, put a small amount of Cascade dishwasher detergent, 1/5 of teaspoon should be enough, remember those dishes are already rinsed and soaped, all we need is just a little bit of cascade to help with disinfecting while washing those dishes under the dishwasher.

As for the dishwasher, preferably a stainless steel tub dishwasher, because it would use high heat temperature in the washing cycle.

Viola, after the dishwasher, finished its cycle, you now have the full racks of clean dishes ready to use.
