Most of us think cooking is a hassle and most of time, a lonely job. For some reason; maybe it is all about gathering, COOKING can be fun.
What is the meal plan?
Upon everyone’s arrival at the dinner party (let’s say a Christmas, the new year or the new year’s eve dinner), all get together, like a kitchen crew; making the meal plan. And everyone agreed, seeing themselves enjoying the labor of their works with all the delicious dishes laid out across the dinner table.
Delicious, What’s in it!?
As everyone started to; eat, chow down, gobble, or taste the food and passing the dishes around the table for those who can’t reach them without getting up.
Then, the conversations going around the table might go something like this, “Oh this is so delicious, I am glad you put the ….. in it” or “Thank you for making the sauce, it really brings out the best in the …..”. You get the picture! Food is among the best topics. Why not, after all, this is everyone’s work at the present, for all at the table to see and taste. What would be better to talk about ( good ICE BREAKER, or sugar coating the sour lemons: sorry for the literals)
What a kitchen crew, great team work!
Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving or whatever the occasion, getting together may be all about sharing something that everyone at the party could really taste and enjoy; helpful hands around the kitchen while cooking: coming up with ideas and searching for a recipe, washing and keeping the kitchen sink clear for everyone else, mixing and stir fry the prepared ingredients, baking and timing those breads and oven baked dishes, clearing and setting up dishes from the kitchen to the dinning table and so on.
What an Oscar!
You may be amazed to learn some hidden talents your family and friends might have; the meal at the table also sets the stage for the Oscar awards for such recognitions among yourselves. “What party?”, the late comers may think it is an award ceremony!
What a night!
Whatever it is, “This is fun!, let’s do it again”, you may hear the comments from their thoughts when it is time for some of your guests to leave for the night.
What a memory!
With all this going on during the party, It is going into your long term memory bank for the keep sake! Forget about loading up pictures in Facebook or something, you have got instant photos in mind when and where ever you would needed them. The party would always lived on, Christmas, New Year, or whenever, year_____ and date_____ !
