Quick meal sushi roll recipe how to prepare sushi roll on the go

A quick sushi roll recipe can be very convenient, how to prepare sushi rice and ingredients at hand

If you have some sushi wrapper, rice and vinegar (preferably sushi vinegar), then you already have the basic ingredient to make a sushi roll.

1. Check inside your fridge

Check what you have inside your fridge, many times you do have some eggs (one of the most important ingredients in sushi roll),carrots, cucumber and avocado.
These ingredients are quick to prepare; if you don’t like them raw (except for avocado), you can slightly cook your carrots or cucumber beforehand.

2. Spice up your roll

And when you got extra stuff like cream cheese, spicy mayo, chili sauce, imitation crab, tuna (Canned or regular), salmon, then you got it made. Just go for it!

3. Rice is the key

To make a great sushi roll, cooking your rice just right is the key (referring to how to cook your perfect rice).

4. Cook scramble pancake egg

You may want to cook your scramble egg in the form of a pancake so it is easily cut into strips to go inside the sushi roll as part of the ingredient. Just crack your eggs and scramble them and heat up a frying pan with some butter for the grease and pour the egg batter into the pan and turn the pan so the batter would spray out in a circular fashion to form a pancake shape.  Then turn the heat low and cover the lid for about few minutes to finish (watch the egg texture, turning solid)

5. Mix your rice with sushi vinegar

Get a large glass or ceramic bowl to dump all your cooked rice in, then mix it with your sushi vinegar, slowly stir to separate the rice without clumping them together (mushing it).

6. Get wrapping and set your wrapping station

First prepare a couple empty plates on your wrapping station (one plate for rolling your sushi rolls and another one to put the finished roll (before cut) in.
Then place the rest of your ingredient around your wrapping station and start wrapping.

7. Wrapping sushi rolls could be fine, but you need to remember a few pointers:

one is to tighten as your roll, and another is DO NOT OVER STUFF you ingredients in one roll. Following the above key pointers, grab and lay down a sushi wrapper just spread the rice evenly across the wrapper and put your chosen ingredient evenly spread out on top of the rice or in the center of the roll, depending on how you want your sushi ingredient to look like inside the roll. When you spread the ingredient, you will see your ingredients spirally toward the center. And when you gather the ingredients in the center, you would just see plenty of white rice and the center clump is your ingredients.

8. Once finished wrapping,

you can cut those rolls into proper size and use your chopstick to pick them up for the delicious bits or you can just be lazy and eat it with your hand as a whole roll!

Enjoy your sushi on the go!
