Homemade sauce for your tilapia
You might be asking, “Now What?” after you have boiled your tilapia from the previous post.
We have just the sauce!
Let’s start
Ingredients (quite a list): sesame oil, sweet chili pepper, black and white pepper, cooking wine, garlic, gingers tomato ketchup, soy sauce corn starch
First, take about 2 cups; more if you need, of the tilapia fish broth (from boiling the tilapia) and pull it into a small saucer pan then turn on medium heat to start simmer.
Next go prep some sweet chili peppers, gingers and garlic: wash and dice them.
Get some corn starch (about a tablespoon) and mix it with a little bid of cold water as we are using this to thicken the sauce.
When the sauce starts to simmer, put the gingers, garlic and chili pepper.
Then shake some black and white peppers and add some sesame oil, soy sauce and ketchup.
Finally, you need some cooking wine (covering the fishy smell) and while simmering the sauce (medium low heat) add a tablespoon of cooking wine then gently pull in the cornstarch water then mix it and allow it to simmer along the sauce (watch for the starch thickening) for few minutes to finish
